Doug Polen’s US MotoGP Laguna Seca Track Walk
Submitted by Neil Johnston on Wednesday, 18 July 2007Comment

Have you ever wondered what goes through a racer’s mind as they dive into Laguna Seca’s Corkscrew? On the cusp of the 2007 US MotoGP we may have the answer. Last year we attended a track walk with Doug Polen, a man who should know. In 1993, Doug reigned supreme over the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Superbike race at Laguna Seca Raceway astride a Ducati 888. Our impression of Doug is that he’s generally frugal with his words, but during the track walk Doug becomes a lively professor emeritus of speed. Here in raw form, is the audio from that track walk, and a slide show… enjoy.
